Holiday Help Program

Holiday Help Program
Sunday, November 11, 2007 3-5 p.m.
Crowne Plaza Hotel

Holidays and other significant days can be especially difficult after the loss of a loved one. Butler Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center invites the community to discover, uncover and nurture hope by attending a Holiday Help program on Sunday, November 11, 2007. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 3000 S. Dirksen Parkway from 3-5 p.m.

Suzanne Howell, M.A., LCPC, a national expert on grief, will present practical ways to help people get through the holidays and other significant days. Topics will include, identifying coping skills to get through the holiday season, learning creative ways to integrate the memories of loved ones in to new traditions and rituals, and embracing grief and the pain and fear that accompany it. A memorial candle-lighting ceremony will also take place to honor loved ones.

Because holidays and other significant days are when families and friends traditionally celebrate together, it is important to let those who are grieving know that they are not alone. Each year, Butler Funeral Homes dedicates itself to offering the community the most comprehensive holiday bereavement program in the area, in the hopes that we are able to help facilitate the process of healthy grief resolution.

The Holiday Help program is open to the public, with no cost or obligation.

Butler Funeral Homes is proud of their tradition in Springfield and the surrounding communities, and consider it a privilege to provide the Holiday Help program to their friends and neighbors each year.
